“We view Kenya as one of the key partners on the African continent. The packed bilateral agenda, past and planned visits clearly confirm the mutual interest in developing relations across a wide range of areas, primarily in agriculture and industrial cooperation,” the Belarusian minister said.
Sergei Aleinik confirmed Belarus’ commitment to stepping up cooperation in the agricultural sector, including in terms of the supply of equipment, fertilizers – everything that is necessary to ensure food security.
“We are open to the development of cooperation in other sectors of the economy. We believe that the economies of Belarus and Kenya are complementary. We held fruitful talks in Nairobi, and I am glad that we continue to discuss the prospects for the development of cooperation in Minsk,” the minister added.
The Kenyan delegation participates in the Belagro agricultural exhibition. Kenyan Minister of Trade, Investment and Industry Moses Kuria sais that his country is interested in developing cooperation with Belarus in the field of agriculture, primarily in terms of mechanization and industrialization of agricultural processes.
“Belarus and Kenya have a lot in common, but one of the key differences that we have is agriculture and the degree of its mechanization and industrialization. Belarus has achieved much greater success in this direction, and we are interested in the experience of Belarus in this area. We are interested not only in learning from Belarus, but also in developing cooperation and joint projects,” he said.
