Multiple members of American State Bank have received promotions recently.
Banking officers
Sara Carrillo became part of the ASB team in 2009 and is now a team leader in the call center.
Katy Harris joined the bank in 2010 as a customer service representative and is now a specialist in the call center.
Enid Levario joined ASB in 2008 in the food service department at Avenue Q. In 2009, she moved to the call center as a customer service representative. She received her bachelor’s of business administration from Wayland Baptist University.
Kathy McDowell joined in 2006 as a clerk in non-deposit. She is now a specialist in marketing. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Texas Tech.
Emily McKelvain started in 2008 and is a specialist in the sales department. She holds a bachelor’s degree in horticulture from Texas A&M University.
Cyndi Miranda joined ASB as a part-time teller at North University Avenue and is now a personal banker there.
Christina Rice joined as a teller at 86th Street and is now the teller supervisor at that location.
Diana Richarte was hired in 2005 as a clerk in credit administration. She is now a loan assistant at Avenue Q.
David Strain became part of the ASB team in 2007 as a customer service representative at Avenue Q and is now an auditor. He holds a bachelor’s in wildlife management and a master’s in financial planning from Texas Tech.
Karlee Warren joined the bank in 2008 as a document specialist in credit administration. She is now a personal banker at the 86th Street location.
Assistant vice presidents
Noe Borrego first joined ASB as an underwriter in central credit underwriting. He left ASB for a short time but returned as a loan review analyst. He was promoted to banking officer in 2010.
Peggy Breunig began her ASB career in 1994 as a clerk at Avenue Q. She worked as a personal banker at Fourth Street for several years and is now a trainer in the call center. She was promoted to banking officer in 2003.
Erma Mejia became part of the ASB team in 2000 as a check processor. She has worked as a customer service representative and a trainer in employee development but is now a specialist in deposit administration. She was promoted to banking officer in 2007.
Clayton Ratterree was hired in 2007 and is an auditor at Avenue Q. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Texas Tech. He became a banking officer in 2010.
Gail Smiley has been with ASB since 1988. She started as a clerk and is now a specialist in deposit operations. She was promoted to banking officer in 2006.
Vice presidents
Teresa Arguello began her ASB career in 2000 as a clerk in deposit operations. She then worked as a personal banker before becoming an underwriter in central credit underwriting. She was promoted to banking officer in 2004 and to assistant vice president in 2006.
Erin Baggs joined in 2010 as a personal banker at Avenue Q but quickly became the branch manager of 86th Street.
John Emanuel began his ASB career as a clerk in compliance and is now a specialist in that department. He was promoted to banking officer in 2007 and to assistant vice president in 2008.
Martha Lopez joined ASB as a teller supervisor at Avenue Q and later transferred to North University Avenue as the branch manager. She was promoted to banking officer in 2007 and to assistant vice president in 2009.
Kasey Morales became part of the ASB team in 2005 as a part-time teller at Avenue Q. She later transferred to credit administration as a clerk and is now a supervisor in that department. She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Wayland Baptist. She was promoted to banking officer in 2009 and assistant vice president in 2010.
Senior vice presidents
Ryan Campbell joined ASB in 1995 as a teller at 66th Street. He then worked in compliance and audit before becoming the group manager in item processing. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Tech. He was promoted to banking officer in 2000, assistant vice president in 2001 and vice president in 2003.
Brian Robinson started in 2000 as a support tech in information systems. He is now the department manager of electronic banking. He attended Abilene Christian University. Robinson was promoted to assistant vice president in 2002 and vice president in 2007.
Tom Allen joined ASB in 1999 as the audit department manager. He now serves as the group manager of risk management. Allen holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Texas Tech. He was promoted to assistant vice president 1999 and vice president in 2004.
