Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Matt Corby has just been confirmed to play an extremely exclusive, intimate gig in Cornwall this summer.
The Australian artist, who has just completed a sold-out UK and European headline tour, will perform for just 400 people at the at Lusty Glaze Beach, the private cove in Newquay.
It’s his first ever show in the South West and is one of only two dates in the UK as part of his Rainbow Valley tour, which will also see him perform in Norway, France and Ireland.
His soulful, beachy sound has mesmerised audiences the world over, with Corby recording 51 million YouTube plays, 1.5 million monthly Spotify listeners and nine platinum records.
He will play well-known hits like Brother in the one-off performance at Lusty Glaze on Tuesday, June 18, alongside material from his new album Rainbow Valley.
Tracey Griffiths, owner of Lusty Glaze Beach, said: “We’re celebrating our 20th anniversary this year so we wanted to do something really special. With a location that’s as extraordinary as ours, we always try to host events that are a little different to the norm, which is why we’re extremely excited about having Matt Corby perform such an exclusive, intimate gig.”
Events manager Robin Parris added: “His music is exactly what Lusty Glaze is all about – laid-back, dreamy vibes. Just imagine a cold beer in hand, a fiery sunset lighting up the cove and the sounds of Matt Corby echoing around the bay.”
Lusty Glaze took The Times’ top spot for ‘Most picturesque live music venues in the UK’ and was also crowned Britain’s Best Beach by the Sunday Times.
