MINSK, 22 June (BelTA) – The FIA 2023 – Algiers International Fair has become a platform for negotiations and meetings between Belarusian and Algerian companies, BelTA learned from the Belinterexpo exhibition enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI).
On 20-25 June Algeria is hosting one of the most prestigious exhibition events in North Africa – the FIA 2023 – Algiers International Fair. President of Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebboune took part in the official opening ceremony of the trade fair. He highlighted its significance and status of an important international event.
Belarus’ national exposition showcases 11 enterprises representing various industries. The exposition is organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Belinterexpo exhibition operator.
Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark) showcases a lineup of its trucks that are known for their reliability, efficiency and innovative solutions.
Belarusian Steel Works (BMZ brand) presents advanced metallurgical technologies and high-quality rolled metal products.
Slutsk Cheese Making Plant and Minsk Dairy Plant No. 1 promote their high-quality dairy products at the expo.
The collective stand of the State Committee on Science and Technology demonstrates over 30 scientific, technological and innovative solutions developed by institutions of the Education Ministry and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. They are interested in establishing business contacts with industrial enterprises, educational institutions, and technology parks of Algeria.
The Algeria-Belarus forum was held on the eve of the opening ceremony on 19 June. It was attended by the president and the director general of the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Belinterexpo Deputy Director Andrei Shakhanovich and Secretary of the Embassy of Belarus in Egypt Igor Verigo. The two countries showcased their trade, economic and investment potential at the forum. The parties discussed the possibility of promoting cooperation between the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries.
Belarusian and Algerian companies held talks and B2B meetings on the sidelines of the expo to discuss cooperation and the export of products, scientific and technical solutions and services to the Algerian market. The event was attended by more than 50 representatives of Algerian business.
