MINSK, 13 August (BelTA) – The Belarusian mechanical engineering company Amkodor and representatives of Ethiopia discussed the prospects for cooperation and looked into the possibility of setting up a joint assembly facility, BelTA learned from Amkodor’s press service.
Representatives of the Ethiopian delegation and Epitychia General Trading visited Amkodor Holding. The guests got acquainted with the permanent exhibition of Amkodor vehicles. They also toured Udarnik Plant to see the production facilities and the product line-up.
The parties held constructive negotiations. They discussed the prospects for cooperation and the possibility of joint production.
“Such an important partnership requires detailed feasibility studies. During the negotiations, it was decided to return to the discussion after a more in-depth market analysis of construction equipment which can meet the needs of Ethiopia most effectively. Such a strategic decision will help the holding company to make the most relevant and well-targeted proposals that will match the needs of the client,” the press service emphasized.
The public joint-stock company (OAO) Amkodor is the managing company of Amkodor Holding Company. The original enterprise was established in 1927. The company consists of 30 legal entities, 22 plants, which produce more than 6,500 marketable products, including over 135 models and modifications of special-purpose and agricultural vehicles and machines. All Amkodor enterprises are integrated into a single technological chain. Each member specializes in manufacturing specific machines, units and assemblies for all enterprises of the company. Amkodor constantly develops new models of machines and vehicles and improves existing ones.
