CR is helping you find the gems among Amazon’s plentiful sales

Amazon has thousands of deals every day, especially around holidays like Labor Day weekend. If you’re in need of something in particular or you just want to window shop and take advantage of a bargain, you can find sales on everything from headphones and TVs to vacuums and coffee makers, and even luggage. But with so many options, it can be a challenge to spot the best discounts on high-quality products.
So Consumer Reports combs through the myriad offers to find great prices on things that have performed well in our labs and homes. The best deal isn’t always the cheapest or the biggest discount, especially if the product doesn’t live up to your expectations. Every item in this list has been proved to do its job, and do it well, so you can add it to your cart with confidence.

Renpho R3 Massage Gun
The Renpho R3 Massage Gun might be the best all-around device for most average users because it’s small and lightweight, and relatively quiet compared with other devices. Plus, with these sales it’s one of the most budget-friendly options CR has tested. However, because of its smaller size, it might not be the ideal choice for people who want the most intense massage or the best way to massage areas on the back.
The pistol grip could add some postural stress, compared with some of the other devices, though its light weight and small form factor could help alleviate stress for some. As a bonus, this can be charged with a standard USB-C charging cable. Make sure to check the coupon box at Amazon for the full savings.
Learn more about the Renpho R3 Massage Gun.
Gaiam Performance Yoga Mat
Consumer Reports tested 19 yoga mats to find out how each one holds up to regular use. Gaiam’s mat aces the drying and grip tests CR put it through but offers somewhat less cushioning. That’s not necessarily a bad thing; a firmer mat can provide more stability for standing poses and can be easier on the wrists. The sale price is currently available only for the black mat.

Fitbit Inspire 2
The Fitbit Inspire 2 fitness tracker has been on sale since mid-April, but the price continues to fall. It’s now only $7 more than the lowest price we’ve seen all year. It gets top marks from our testers for step-count and heart-rate accuracy, and it earns a spot among the best fitness trackers for its ease of use, pairing, and readability in low light. The Inspire 2 also has a very generous claimed battery life of 10 days (we don’t test that characteristic) and built-in GPS, a feature not found on many other fitness trackers.
Why it’s a good deal: It’s now only $7 more than the lowest price we’ve seen all year.
Fitbit Luxe
The lightweight and stylish Fitbit Luxe looks more like jewelry than a straight-up fitness tracker, and it performs well on basic functions. The device earns high ratings for both ease of use and step counting, and it includes the stress-tracking features found on the more expensive Sense smartwatch. It isn’t quite as good as other models when it comes to heart-rate tracking, though. And the tiny screen can be tough to read, especially for people who have trouble seeing up close.
Why it’s a good deal: This is a great discount for a slim, discreet fitness tracker.
Champion Everyday Sports Bra
This adjustable sports bra is almost like a T-shirt bra with its defined, lightly padded cups, and indeed, it can double as a T-shirt bra if desired. It has adjustable, convertible straps and three sets of hooks in the band, and comes in sizes XS to 2XL. It’s on the plain side, stylewise, but it’s a versatile bra at a good price—and one Consumer Reports evaluator still wears it regularly.
Learn more about Champion’s Everyday Sports Bra.
Therabody Theragun Mini Massage Gun
This ultraportable device is one of the quietest massage guns we’ve evaluated. It has a wedge-shaped handle and is among the best devices for reducing problematic wrist postures. But it doesn’t come with any attachments, and its small size makes it challenging to reach most of a user’s back. For overall portability and quiet, however, this could be a top choice.
Learn more about the Therabody Theragun Mini Massage Gun.
Amazon Basics 21-Inch Hardside Spinner
Admirable test scores for durability and usability make the expandable Amazon Basics 21-Inch Hardside Spinner a worthwhile pick. This model lacks a lock but does have three internal pockets to help organize smaller items. You get no warranty, however. We tested the black version, but several colors are on sale, too.
Why it’s a good deal: This suitcase originally sold for over $100 and was on sale for $95 for the last few weeks, but now the price has been reduced even further.
TravelPro Maxlite 5 Expandable Carry-On Hardside Spinner
The Travelpro Maxlite 5 Expandable Carry-On Hardside Spinner suitcase aces most of our durability tests and performs admirably in our other metrics. It offers a limited lifetime warranty, and at 6.3 pounds, it’s the lightest hard-shell carry-on of the 12 models in our tests. The handle adjusts to only two positions, though, and there are no internal pockets or compartment dividers. We tested a black version. Other sizes and versions that we didn’t test—including a nonexpandable one—are available at different discounts.
Why it’s a good deal: This is a great price for a hard-side carry-on.
Amazon B08T6JZTH4
The Amazon B08T6JZTH4, one of the new Fire TVs sold under Amazon’s own brand, was already at this price before Amazon Prime Day and was more than $300 below what Best Buy was offering. The 75-inch TV is in the step-up Omni series, with a slimmer design and a few more features than the Amazon 4-series sets. Those features include Dolby Vision HDR and built-in microphones for hands-free operation. In our tests, this model performed well for HD and 4K picture quality, but its HDR performance was minimal, mainly because of limited peak brightness. The TV uses Amazon’s Fire TV system, with built-in Alexa and a voice remote for voice commands.
Why it’s a good deal: This is $100 more than we saw during Prime Day but is still an impressive discount for such a large TV.
Insignia NS-65DF710NA21
This 65-inch 4K smart Insignia NS-65DF710NA21 did well in our tests, with satisfying HD and 4K picture quality, although its HDR (high dynamic range) performance is subpar. It also has a fairly narrow viewing angle, but its sound is better than average. It uses the Amazon Fire TV system with the Alexa voice-powered digital assistant.
Why it’s a good deal: This model was $40 less last week, but this is still a significant discount, especially for a TV of this size.
LG OLED65C1PUB
This 2021 65-inch 4K OLED TV from LG, part of the company’s C-series lineup, is one of the best sets you can buy. It’s less expensive than the design-focused G-series models and offers better HDR performance than the less expensive A- and B-series sets. You get top-notch overall picture quality, plus great sound. It has LG’s webOS smart TV platform with support for several voice-enabled digital assistants, and it comes with LG’s Magic Remote, which responds to voice commands.
Why it’s a good deal: This model is typically on sale for $100 more, so take advantage of this lower price while you can.
Mueller V-Pro 5 Blade Mandoline
We tried out 11 mandoline slicers at home, and this one by Müeller was the most extra, and by that, we mean it had the most variety of attachments. This mandoline can make thick cuts, beautiful thin slices, and fun waffle cuts. The julienne blades are easy to use, too.
Learn more about the Müeller V-Pro 5 Blade Mandoline.
Greater Goods Kitchen Scale
A digital kitchen scale can be a true workhorse in the kitchen. It’s also especially important for baking, which often requires precision when measuring ingredients. Jesse Szewczyk, a food stylist and cookbook author, uses this Greater Goods digital kitchen scale almost every day.
“A standard cup of flour can be wildly inconsistent depending on how you fill the measuring cup [scooping into a bag vs. spooning it in], but by weighing your flour, you remove the inconsistency factor and ensure your baked goods come out perfect every time,” Szewczyk says.
Why it’s a good deal: This scale has been on sale for weeks, but this is the first time we’ve seen it dip below $10 since Prime Day.
Lodge Seasoned Cast Iron Baking Pan
The Lodge Seasoned Cast Iron Baking Pan is the smallest of all the sheet pans in our tests, but at almost 8.5 pounds, it weighs the most—by far. In fact, it’s difficult to remove it from the oven with just one hand. On the plus side, it doesn’t warp, and cleanup is easier than it is for many other uncoated pans.
Why it’s a good deal: This cast iron pan usually sells for closer to $50, but a 20 percent discount makes it worth considering.
GoWise USA GW22731
A CR Best Buy, the GoWise GW22731 air fryer has a measured capacity of 4.9 quarts. Its touch buttons and programmed settings are among the easiest to see and use. And this is one of the quietest air fryers we’ve tested. But the exterior’s crevices and the basket’s nooks and crannies take some effort to clean.
Why it’s a good deal: This model is already at a good price, but a discount on top of that makes it even more appealing.
NuWave 6 Quart 37001
The NuWave 37001 air fryer boasts a measured capacity of 5.8 quarts. Our experts found its electronic controls with programmed settings to be among the easiest to see and use. The inside and outside of the appliance are a cinch to clean, but cleaning food out of the holes in the basket takes a little extra effort. This air fryer is on the noisy side, earning only a middling rating in our noise tests. The fan is as loud as a countertop microwave, so you’ll hear it running.
Why it’s a good deal: This air fryer usually sells for around $100, so the discount isn’t as impressive as Amazon makes it look, but it’s still a great price.
Hamilton Beach Programmable Alexa Smart 49350
If you like the idea of being able to brew your morning joe with just a simple “good morning” to Alexa, check out the Hamilton Beach Programmable Alexa Smart 49350 coffee maker. It performs decently in our brew tests, and its carafe is very easy to hold and pour. In addition to WiFi connectivity for Alexa, this brewer can be programmed.
Why it’s a good deal: It’s not the best discount we’ve seen for this model, which cost $65 during Prime Day, but $20 off is still solid savings.
Keurig K-Elite K90
The Keurig K-Elite K90 Pod coffee maker is the best Keurig-branded pod brewer in our ratings. Its first-cup brew speed is a tad slow, but this Keurig makes up for it with great temperature and size consistency. It packs plenty of features, too, including programming, auto-shutoff, an iced-coffee brewing mode, a removable reservoir, and a height-adjustable drip tray.
Why it’s a good deal: The price for this model has fallen steadily in recent weeks, dropping $15 compared with last week.
Nespresso VertuoPlus
The Nespresso VertuoPlus offers a superb brewing range as well as solid first-cup speed and temperature consistency. In terms of features, this machine comes equipped with a removable water reservoir, a height-adjustable drip tray, and an auto-shutoff function. And Nespresso pod coffee makers earn top ratings for owner satisfaction and reliability in our member surveys. This machine uses Nespresso’s VertuoLine pods, not the OriginalLine other models use, so make sure you choose the correct pods.
Why it’s a good deal: Nespresso machines don’t go on sale often, and while we’ve seen bigger discounts for major sales, it’s always nice to save a little if you need a new coffee maker now.
Instant Milk Frother
When you think of the brand Instant Pot, its line of multi-cookers usually comes to mind, but the company has branched out into coffee makers and frothers. Its budget-friendly Instant Milk Frother was one of the best models in our at-home review, offering performance almost on a par with the Nespresso Aeroccino4 milk frother, which costs more than twice as much. The only downside is that the Instant Milk Frother isn’t dishwasher-safe because its controls are built into the side of the carafe. Cleaning is still a breeze, though—you just need to hand-wash it with a wet cloth. It’s on sale for about 30 percent off its list price.
Learn more about the Instant Milk Frother.
Chefman Anti-Overflow Belgian Waffle Maker
The Chefman is the only waffle maker in our tests to snag a CR Best Buy designation. For far less money than most of the competition, this machine churns out evenly browned round waffles. It garners an above-average rating for its color-range settings, meaning there’s a remarkable difference between waffles made on the darkest setting (brown and crispy) and the lightest setting (light brown and fluffy). Pros include an indicator to let you know when the waffles are ready, the option to store it vertically to save space, and a batter cup for precise portioning. Con: The handle and latch get uncomfortably warm during cooking, despite its “cool touch” claims, so you may want to use an oven mitt when opening and closing the lid.
Why it’s a good deal: If you’ve wanted a waffle maker, this 17 percent discount is a great reason to give this already budget option a shot.
Calphalon Auto-Speed BLCLMB1
While this blender isn’t among our top-rated, the Calphalon Auto-Speed BLCLMB1 is one of the most reliable models in our tests. The 1,100-watt blender comes in dark stainless steel with a 68-ounce BPA-free Tritan jar, plus a 25-ounce smoothie cup you can take on the road. It weighs 8 pounds and has a pulse option and a removable blade.
Why it’s a good deal: This is about $30 more than we saw during Prime Day, but it’s still a sizable discount.
Ninja Professional Plus Kitchen System BN801
Ninja full-sized blenders earned an above-average rating for predicted reliability in our member surveys. The 1,200-watt Ninja BN801 Professional Plus Kitchen System with Auto-iQ combines impressive performance and value pricing. Whether you crave soups or smoothies, this model has you covered, receiving a top rating for puréeing and a score almost as good for icy drinks. It comes with a personal blender attachment, a 24-ounce to-go cup, and a food processor accessory. The blender’s removable blade also makes cleanup a cinch, a big reason it did very well in our convenience tests.
Why it’s a good deal: This model’s sale price comes and goes, so it may be good to take advantage while it’s here.
Ninja Foodi Digital SP101
This Ninja Foodi Digital SP101 toaster oven receives middle-of-the-road scores in CR’s tests. While it does a pretty good job of turning out toast and is fairly easy to clean, its reheating and baking capabilities are just okay. Although we didn’t test the rotisserie or air frying function, this model comes equipped with those features. Another positive: It flips up when not in use to minimize the space it takes up on a counter.
Why it’s a good deal: This is a great discount. Just make sure to click the on-page coupon to get the extra $10 off.
Tuft & Needle Mint
The Tuft & Needle Mint mattress gets a 4 in firmness (on our scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the firmest) and earns high ratings for petite, average, and large/tall side- and back-sleeper support. This mattress is also extremely durable, earning a top score in that test. It’s 12 inches high, weighs 80 pounds, and has no grips. Tuft & Needle offers a 100-night trial period; if you’re not satisfied, you can return it for a full refund.
Why it’s a good deal: This beats the best price we’ve seen all year by $50.
Blueair Blue Pure 211+
This portable air purifier from Blueair is designed for floor or tabletop use in spaces up to 550 square feet. It aces our particle removal test at a high-speed setting and does a pretty solid job at removing dust, pollen, and smoke at a lower setting. The model features a dirt sensor and three speeds, and is pretty easy to operate. On the downside, it can be relatively loud when operating at higher speeds, and filter replacements can be costly.
Why it’s a good deal: This model doesn’t go on sale that often, so whenever it does it’s always worth a look, especially at a discount this big.
Blueair Classic 605
The Blueair Classic 605 is one of only four models that earn top scores for particle removal at both the high- and low-speed settings. That great performance does come with a few drawbacks. Although it’s whisper-quiet at low speeds, it is noisy at higher speeds. It’s also one of the most expensive air purifiers in our ratings when you take into account the initial cost, filter replacements, and energy use. Today, it’s almost half off.
Why it’s a good deal: This is one of the best-rated models in CR’s tests, and it doesn’t go on sale that often.
Skil DL529303
The 20-volt Skil DL529303 does fast work of drilling holes and driving fasteners. It’s also light and comfortable to hold, and weighs a little over 3 pounds. The Li-ion battery it comes with charges up very quickly, and it has an LED work light and a belt hook. This model comes with a generous 5-year warranty.
Why it’s a good deal: This is the regular discount price. It rarely goes lower, and it doesn’t stay on sale for very long.
Cuisinart CGG-306
This compact and portable two-burner Cuisinart portable gas grill is a strong performer that’s quick to heat. It’s also an exceptionally good price on a nicely finished stainless grill. The four folding legs make it easy to transport and unpack at a beach, tailgate, or campsite. One thing to note: The grill can be used only with larger, 20-pound propane tanks, not the small 1-pound cylinders that some other portable grills can take. So while the grill is portable, you’ll also need to bring a full-sized tank of propane wherever you’re headed.
Why it’s a good deal: The sub-$200 sale price makes this a great value if you want to step up your tailgating game.
Amazon Echo Show 10
The Echo Show 10 has a large 10-inch touchscreen that pivots around a squat cylindrical base (reminiscent of the Pixar iMac). And the Show 10 has a silent electric motor that moves the screen automatically to follow you as you move around your kitchen. This model has a decent screen and sound. But you need a pizza-sized clearance area around it. Otherwise, if you use it in the kitchen, the pivoting screen could knock over objects, creating a potential hazard. If you have a large kitchen with lots of counter space and the discipline to keep things away from the screen, the Show 10 could be a great option. If not, consider the less expensive Show 8, which lacks the motorized screen and requires much less counter space.
Why it’s a good deal: This model doesn’t go on sale often, and the current price is only $20 more than we saw on Prime Day.
Amazon Echo Show 5 (2nd Gen)
The Echo Show 5 is Amazon’s smallest smart screen. Our testers report that the sound is subpar for a music-listening device, but that’s not why you should consider this one. It’s a utility machine that works well on a night table or desk. You get all the Amazon Alexa functionality featured in other Echo devices, plus some added value, thanks to the small screen and camera.
Why it’s a good deal: The Show 5 was $5 less at Amazon for Prime Day, but this is still a significant discount.
Arlo Essential Wireless Security VMC2030-100NAS
The Arlo Essential wireless security camera is fantastic, especially if you’re trying to keep costs down. It receives strong ratings in our tests for video quality and data security, and it performs quite well in our response-time test, but its data privacy could be better. This model gives you a rechargeable battery, a siren, voice control (via Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit/Siri, and Google Assistant), and a built-in spotlight that allows for color night vision, and it connects directly to WiFi (unlike Arlo’s other models, which use base stations).
Why it’s a good deal: This has been on sale for some time for around $100, but this new discount is the best we’ve seen all year.
Rachio 8ZULW-C
The Rachio 3 8ZULW-C in-ground sprinkler controller is easy to connect to WiFi and is highly responsive to local forecasts, receiving an above-average rating for that capability. It lost a few points because its wiring instructions are unclear, and it lacks a backup battery and weatherproof casing. (A weatherproof enclosure is sold separately for $29.) In addition to app controls, this Rachio also features manual controls on the device itself and voice control via Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. This model works with up to eight sprinkler zones; a 16-zone version is also available for larger systems.
Why it’s a good deal: This is $20 more than what we saw for Prime Day, but it’s still a great discount outside of major sale moments.
1MORE PistonBuds
Here’s a great option if you’re looking for inexpensive true wireless earbuds. The 1More PistonBuds deliver great sound quality for the price, beating out competitors that cost far more. They have an advertised 3.5-hour battery life—fairly standard for a true wireless model—and come with a charging/carrying case that will recharge the earphones almost five times before the case needs to be plugged in again.
The PistonBuds feature touch controls, and they plug in with USB-C. They’re also water-resistant, according to the company. 1More boasts the highest owner satisfaction rating in this category, based on surveys of CR members.
Why it’s a good deal: The on-page coupon makes a nice dent in the price of these already budget-friendly earbuds, but we’ve seen them sell for as low as $20.
Apple AirPods Pro
The Apple AirPods Pro aren’t the best-scoring noise-canceling headphones in our ratings, but they might be the most popular. And unlike the earlier generations of AirPods, the Pros deliver when it comes to performance, with solid sound quality and fantastic noise cancellation.
Why it’s a good deal: If you’ve been thinking about picking up a pair, these are now just $10 more than the Prime Day price.
Sennheiser PXC 550-II
The Sennheiser PXC 550-II is such a great deal that we could almost call it the best and the bargain pick. It’s one of the highest-scoring headphones in our ratings, and it costs hundreds less than many competitors. In our tests, the PXC 550-II outperforms flagship models from manufacturers such as Beats and Sony, and gets almost the same score as the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700, one of our other top picks, priced at almost $400.
The PXC 550-II has appealing features, such as adjustable levels of noise cancellation and an ambient sound-monitoring mode that lets noise from your environment back in, so you can hear your surroundings when necessary. Sennheiser says this model will run for up to 20 hours with both Bluetooth and noise cancellation turned on.
Why it’s a good deal: With this discount, this model is significantly less than similar ones.
Sony WF-1000XM4
The Sony WF-1000XM4 is one of our top-rated pairs of noise-canceling earbuds, and this discount is a hefty one. If you’re in the market for some new audio gear, this model is worth your time. Expect audio quality and noise cancellation that ranks among the very best in this category of products. Battery life is long, and there are handy features, such as an ambient sound-monitoring mode that lets you keep an ear on your environment.
Why it’s a good deal: This sale price just dropped $20 compared with the price in recent weeks. We saw it sell for around $200 during Prime Day, so it may get cheaper during the next big sale.
Bose SoundLink Color II
While it lacks the bling found on some other inexpensive wireless speakers, such as LED lighting and sound effects, the Bose SoundLink Color II performs where it really matters. It’s cool and colorful and easy to use, and it provides sound quality that compares favorably with larger and pricier speakers, all of which has made it a long-term favorite. Because Bose products are rarely discounted, this 39 percent discount is particularly attractive.
Why it’s a good deal: This speaker is back to the same low price we saw during Prime Day.
Sony SRS-XB13
For less than $50, the pocket-sized Sony SRS-XB13 is a bargain. It’s a take-anywhere speaker that can go to the park or the beach without fear of an expensive piece of electronics getting lost, stolen, or destroyed. The Sony’s bass isn’t very strong, and it lacks the smoothness and detail of more expensive speakers, but the speaker’s sound can fill a small room.
Why it’s a good deal: This is a great value for the quality and portability, but it was $10 less on Prime Day. So you may be able to save a bit more if you can wait.
Sony SRS-XB23
The Sony SRS-XB23 is proof that less can be more. While older Sony speakers came with superfluous features like lights and sound effects, the more straightforward SRX-XB23 still performs its primary function admirably—and at a great price. It’s a midsized speaker that checks a lot of boxes. It’s relatively inexpensive, and Sony claims that it’s water-resistant.
And it sounds good. According to our testers, the low bass of the SRS-XB23 is a bit lacking and the midrange lacks some of the clarity of the very best portables. But on balance, the speaker delivers satisfying sound.
Why it’s a good deal: The sale price has been fluctuating between $88 and $98, so get it now while the price is on the low end.
HP 14A-NA0023CL
The 14-inch Chromebook from HP is good for people who simply need a functional laptop to do things like browse the web and check email. It has an Intel Celeron processor, 4 gigabytes of memory, and 32GB of flash storage. As with other Chromebooks, the idea is that you’re going to be storing most files online. It scored okay in our tests, with our testers noting somewhat middling performance but highlighting its 13-hour battery life while browsing the web.
Why it’s a good deal: This is a significant discount on an already budget-friendly laptop, only $20 more than the lowest price we’ve seen all year.
Microsoft Surface Laptop Go (64GB)
Microsoft has several Surface devices to choose from, but the relatively inexpensive Microsoft Surface Laptop Go could be a good option for consumers looking for a smaller laptop, especially at this hefty discount. It has a 12.4-inch display, an Intel Core i5 processor, 4 gigabytes of memory, and a sparse 64GB solid state drive, which you can supplement with cloud storage.
The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go scores well in many of our tests, though the performance is a bit sluggish compared with other options. The model is lightweight (2.5 pounds), offers decent battery life (just under 12 hours in CR’s web-browsing test), and has a bright, color-accurate display. There’s a touchscreen for flipping through those photo galleries.
Why it’s a good deal: This is a decent discount on the typically $400 laptop, but it was $50 less during Prime Day. So you may want to wait to see if the prices fall again during this back-to-school shopping season.
LG Gram 16 (Core i7)
This is quite the deal on a laptop that always does well in our ratings. The LG Gram 16 Laptop has an Intel Core i7 processor, 16 gigabytes of memory, and 512GB of solid state storage. The model we tested is very similar (we added a bit of extra storage space when we bought it), and it more or less aced all our tests. Worth highlighting is its relatively light weight for a laptop this size (3.2 pounds) and a battery that lasts more than 18 hours while under a light load.
Why it’s a good deal: The price has dropped $20 since last week. But the laptop cost only $900 for Prime Day, so it could be cheaper again during the next big sale.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S7
The Galaxy Tab S8 is a great option for people who want an Android tablet with high performance. Just keep in mind that top performance isn’t necessary for simple tasks such as reading email, watching movies, and surfing the web. The Galaxy Tab S7 is also on sale if you need a fast device but want something a little cheaper.
Why it’s a good deal: This is back to the best price we’ve seen all year.
Eufy RoboVac G30 Edge
The Eufy RoboVac G30 Edge has many of the same strengths as the more basic Eufy 11S—including decent cleaning performance, quiet operation, and nimble navigation. The difference is that it navigates in orderly, back-and-forth rows, which means it’s less likely to accidentally miss sections of your home or get lost in big spaces. CR has not tested the G30, but we have tested its near-identical sibling, the G30 Edge. (The only difference is that the Edge comes with do-not-cross strips, which are awkward to use anyway, at least by today’s bot-vac standards.)
Why it’s a good deal: The sale price is only $20 more than what we saw on Prime Day, and much better than what we’ve seen more recently.
Miele Triflex HX1 SMUL0
Miele has a sterling reputation for its plug-in vacuums, and the Triflex HX1 is its first cordless model. It earns top-notch scores on almost all our tests. The coolest part, though, is that you can put its parts together in two different styles: a modern stick-type setup, with the weight at the top and a long shaft that can reach into cramped areas, or a more traditional upright configuration, with better balance but a bulkier middle.
Why it’s a good deal: This brand doesn’t go on sale often, so take advantage of this discount before it’s gone.
Shark Navigator Lift-Away NV352
The bagless Shark Navigator Lift-Away NV352 earns a top rating on our bare-floor test and is almost as good at cleaning carpet. While the filter does a fantastic job of capturing dust and preventing particle emissions, the dustbin itself stirred up some dust in our tests because it’s a little tricky to empty. Hose suction is average. But there are better choices for picking up pet hair. Shark uprights get our top mark for owner satisfaction, and the rating for predicted reliability is almost as impressive.
Why it’s a good deal: The sale price just dropped an additional $30 compared with recent weeks.
Hum by Colgate Smart Electric Toothbrush
The Hum by Colgate Smart Electric Toothbrush does a very good job at cleaning teeth, and it comes with a timer to help ensure that you brush for the full recommended 2 minutes. Its battery life and ease of use are outmatched by some other electric toothbrushes, but it will get the job done.
Why it’s a good deal: This is a great, reasonably priced way to upgrade to an electric toothbrush. It just dropped an additional $7, as well.
Netgear Orbi AC1200 (3-Pack)
The Netgear Orbi AC1200 has been on sale for a while, and the price has fallen steadily from around $150 in the past few weeks. This three-unit mesh router system performs well in our tests overall. But it doesn’t rate quite as highly for speed at midrange and far distances, and it isn’t compatible with the WiFi 6 standard, which might not be ideal for early adopters who want the fastest connections to the latest smartphone and other gadgets. (Don’t worry about compatibility, though; all new devices work with the earlier WiFi standard.) Given the relatively low price, however, there’s a lot to like here, including an easy app-based setup, a built-in Ethernet port, and automatic firmware updates, which protect you from hackers, malware, and other security vulnerabilities.
Why it’s a good deal: This router has been on sale for a while, and the price has fallen steadily from around $150. This is the first time we’ve seen it dip below $100 in weeks.
