The menu here revolves around the six seasons of the Noongar calendar in a flavourful celebration of unique West Australian ingredients and an equally impressive cocktail menu to top it all off.
They serve up lunch and dinner in a fitting setting atop the State Buildings.
You can’t talk fine dining in Perth without giving an appreciative nod to Balthazar.
Sitting at the base of an original Art Deco apartment block, the no-nonsense menu is all they need to absolutely wow. The kangaroo, beef fillet, duck fat potatoes, and squid entree are definite must-tries, but everything is simply top-notch.

James Parker focuses on fresh Japanese fusion foods in stunning contemporary style. This is the place to be if you want 10/10 Aburi, delicate sashimi, and out-of-this-world ootoro. It’s no wonder these guys are often rattled off as the best Japanese eatery in Perth.
Honestly, we could talk about how great Meat & Wine Co is all day.
It’s all in the name really- the stars of the show here include their extensive wine list and juicy steak selections, turning even the toughest into full-blown steak addicts. The mushroom sauce is absolutely essential, alongside a big piece of Wagyu Rump that for sure makes it into our list of Perth’s best and topped off with a flavorsome slice of bruschetta. Portion size is no issue here either.
You’ll probably start making special occasions up just to make another trip back.
Marumo is a dining experience worth waiting for – and we’re talking months of waiting, so make sure you’re of the patient and persistent type.
They serve up a seasonal 7-course Omakase menu jam-packed with the freshest of ingredients and plated up in pure perfection. You won’t need to do a thing but sit back and let Chef Moe transport you on a culinary journey. It’s quite possibly Perth’s greatest hidden gem, and 100% worth the hype.
When planning a special occasion or anniversary dinner, C Restaurant is more often than not one that pops to mind for many reasons- and it’s not just because of the 360-degree rotating view.
If we could pick out just one though, we reckon it’s their famous homemade gnocchi. The soft and generous pieces surrounded by Napolitana sauce with creamy spinach and gorgonzola flavors will always go down as one of the best around town.
If you’re one to dabble in the pleasures of good food and good wine on a regular basis then you may have popped into Post before.
The menu boasts everything contemporary Italian entwined with the best local produce over breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You won’t go thirsty either with authentic Italian wines alongside a selection of WA wine producers who hero Italian wine varietals.
Basically, it’s a modern Italian love affair.
She may look casual and simple on the outside, but Rusty Fig takes its luxury dining experience very seriously.
It’s a mix of sophisticated and relaxed atmosphere blended with Australian fine dining heroed by high-quality produce and one of Perth’s best wine lists to compliment every bite.
They’ve got A La Carte, decadent degustation, 5 courses, or an 8-course degustation menu on offer, so take your pick. And yes, it definitely tastes as good as it looks.
Shadow Wine Bar is oozing chic class and moody vibes in a fusion of modern style and European dining.
From a Sunday brunch stop to an Aperitivo in the late arvo to a late-night glass and feed, they’ve got you covered on pretty much all fronts. The menu is embracing of European influences with everything from veal cotoletta to mushroom arancini and gnocchi, and some stellar wine options to wash it all down.
Needing no introduction, the iconic Japanese restaurant is pretty much fine-dining royalty here in Perth.
Nobu holds itself to a high standard, which comes across in its innovative and unique eats and overall dining experience. Esteemed Chef Nobu Matsuhisa brings a fusion of traditional Japanese cuisine with South American flavours to a menu brimming with delightful options.

Speaking of fine-dining royalty, Rockpool is no stranger to those Perth peeps who enjoy the finer things in life- and a damn good steak.
The prime meats are well worth some of the eye-watering prices, cooked to perfection on an open wood fire and dry-aged on site. Mix this with a list of over 2, 300 wines, mouth-watering desserts, and an equally impressive selection of entrees and sides that can’t be overlooked and you’ve got a winner.
Lamont’s has been on the fine-dining scene for over 20 years, so there’s no doubt they know what they’re doing.
The private gardens and heritage-listed home setting make for a charming dining experience like no other, and Executive Chef Nathan Le is no stranger to success after serving up their fresh seasonal menu for over a decade. Plus, they’ve got an impressive wine selection- need I say more?
Fine Italian dining? We’ll take it any day of the week.
Sitting pretty in Floreat, Prego is about as good as you can get when it comes to superb Italian cuisine with an equally superb ambiance and faultless service.
The decadent menu comes in a few options, with a five-course degustation menu that is particularly impressive and won’t break the bank- win!
