Watch as the world’s biggest boyband put on a spectacular show.
Surprise! That BTS concert film you’ve been waiting for has just landed on Disney+.
To mark the annual Disney+ Day celebration, with comprehensive new content drops and special offers, BTS: Permission to Dance On Stage – LA was ready and waiting on the streaming service in 4K this morning (September 8).
We knew that the phenomenally successful boyband had signed a deal with Disney+ for a number of shows including a concert film – but there hadn’t even been a whisper of a potential release date.
BTS and their studio HYBE’s collaboration with Disney will also include a docuseries titled BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star, and a travel series called In The Soup: Friendcation where V will join up with friends including Train to Busan and Parasite‘s Choi Woo-shik, plus musician and actor Park Hyung-sik.
As BTS have recently announced a “temporary hiatus” to explore other projects, including solo material, this is probably the best chance you’ll get to see one of their performances for a little while. So here’s how you can tune in (and stream again, and again, and again, if you like…)

BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage – LA was filmed during the band’s shows at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles in November and December 2021. The group had the largest-grossing run of shows at a single venue in almost a decade, according to Billboard Boxscore, and also became the seventh act in history to earn over $30 million from a single run of shows.
You can stream the concert film exclusively on Disney+, as mentioned above. And to mark Disney+ Day, new and returning subscribers can take advantage of an offer where they can get their first month’s subscription for £1.99 in the UK, or $1.99 in the US. This deal is running until September 19.
After the offer period, the monthly pricing goes up to £7.99 per month in the UK, or $7.99 per month in the US. Yearly membership is £79.90 in the UK or $79.99 in the US.
A Disney+ price change is due to take effect in the US in December with the introduction of an ad-free tier. This will be priced at $7.99 per month, and the ad-free tier will cost $10.99 per month.
US customers who also want to sign up for Hulu and ESPN+ may prefer to bundle their subscriptions. The Disney+ Bundle of all three streamers is priced at $13.99 per month, although it will cost a little more if you’d like an ad-free Hulu experience.
In the UK, O2 customers may be eligible to take up an O2 Extra and save money on their Disney+ monthly subscription. New and upgrading customers could be eligible for six months’ free access to the service, and customers who aren’t ready for an upgrade can add Disney+ as an O2 Extra and receive £2 per month in credit off their bill. More details are available here on O2’s Disney+ Extra page.
Disney+ is home to an ever-increasing variety of content. Exactly what’s in the library will vary from country to country, but here are our highlights from the UK content list.
You can enjoy TV shows and movies from the likes of Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar and National Geographic, as well as Disney animated and live-action classics. Additionally, in many countries a lot of classic films and series which can be found on Hulu in the US are available as part of the STAR on Disney+ library (think Grey’s Anatomy, NCIS: Hawai’i, Love, Victor, Atlanta, and so on).
And if it’s music you’re interested in, you’ll find plenty of it – whether that’s musicals such as Hamilton or Newsies, or documentaries including The Beatles: Get Back, Machine Gun Kelly’s Life in Pink or Olivia Rodrigo’s driving home 2 u.
And don’t forget specials from the likes of BLACKPINK’s concert movie, Taylor Swift’s Folklore sessions, Billie Eilish’s Happier Than Ever concert film and Paul McCartney’s McCartney 3, 2, 1. Plus, there are plenty of Disney singalongs as well, from The Lion King to Encanto.
