A quirky new coffee cafe that's a converted American-style bus and two caravans has opened in Rayleigh. The Bean Machine opened on August 1 and is based on Eastwood Road selling a range of pastries, beverages, and sandwiches.
The portable designed shop is situated on Lime House Industrial Park alongside Rayleigh Oaks Shopping Village, building material supplier Scaffold King, and landscaper Grassed Up. The business started when a group of four friends, consisting of Peter Jeffery, Robyn Tully, and husband and wife Daniel Carey and Catherine Carey, teamed up to create the idea.
The Bean Machine flaunts an outside and inside seating area as well as a children's play area with a permanent bouncy castle, which is free for children to use with any purchased drinks. Customers can choose between a soft drink, hot and cold coffees, and milkshakes where customers can have special shakes of Nutella, Oreo, and Kinder Bueno.

The food menu is made up of breakfast, sandwiches, toasties, and kid's meal sections. There are vegan and vegetarian options to be more inclusive for people with specific dietaries.
Customers can also enjoy an afternoon tea session, which they would need to book 72 hours in advance, according to their social media page. The cafe brand has been active on Facebook since the end of June gearing up for the opening and showing their items to their followers.
The Bean Machine is proving a huge hit with families and residents online with many excited with the bouncy castle for their children. One user said: " Visited here a few weeks back for the 1st time with family. Great for the kids & even better for refreshments…"
