It was an eye-opening experience for the team, who helped single mum Fion and her 3 boys makeover their rental flat.
“Fion and the boys have been struggling with the heat for a while now,” said senior producer Kenneth Lim, who took three months to coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team of experts and digital platform GoodHood.sg to help the family.
“The main challenge for us was to help cool down the house without breaking the bank, and to make sure that the solutions were something they could maintain in the long term.”
We followed up that episode with one focusing on another risk factor associated with high temperatures: Extreme UV levels.
