1,400 doses of vaccine were delivered to the Grand Duchy last Friday following an agreement with the EU. The vaccination takes place at the infectious diseases department of the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL).
To be vaccinated, you must be a resident of Luxembourg or have Luxembourgish nationality. You also need to be covered by Luxembourgish health insurance to be able to make an appointment. Furthermore, you must be at least 18 years old to receive the vaccine.
The Grand Duchy has received 1,400 doses of vaccine through its contract with the EU. In total, the European Union has received 160,000 doses. The World Health Organisation (WHO) points out that the virus is currently spreading mainly among men who have sex with men, and especially among people who have several different partners. It is therefore advisable for those concerned to be vaccinated as a preventive measure.
