This chart from Indeed shows that job postings containing remote or work from home terms have decreased to 7.4%, a 25% difference compared to the previous quarter.
From May 2020, job postings with remote work or work from home details have climbed, peaking in January 2022 which then plunged in May.
Indeed’s findings also revealed that Singapore jobseekers still prefer to work remotely. Around 3.6% of Singapore searches on Indeed’s job portal are for remote work—that is one in every 28 searches on the Indeed website—with no meaningful decline in jobseeker interest for remote roles this year. Hiring activity in Singapore was broadly unchanged in May, however, posting volumes remain elevated and consistent with a further tightening of Singapore’s labour market.
By the end of May, Singapore job postings on Indeed were up 106% from their level on February 1, 2020, after adjusting for seasonal trends indicating that there are more than twice as many jobs available now on Indeed as there were before the pandemic began.
