Police hold fears a man could have possibly drowned or gone missing at a popular Perth beach.
An unattended towel and a pair of thongs were discovered by police at City Beach on Sunday afternoon, sparking a search for the items’ owner.
“Can you help,” WA Police posted to social media.
“Police are attempting to identify the owner of this property. It is believed to have been left on the beach at City Beach by a male in his 70s with grey spikey hair, wearing a red polo shirt and boardies.
“There is a concern the male may have entered the water and his current whereabouts (are) not known.”
Police were unable to find anyone in distress at the beach or link any missing person reports to the unattended items.
The owner of the items is yet to be found.
