To get direction from residents in developing a comprehensive zoning and land use plan the city of New Ulm is conducting a survey.
The comprehensive plan is intended to guide development and growth over the next 20 years and will include recommendations for land use, housing, business development, parks, transportation and downtown vitality.
Public input is key to developing a comprehensive plan that reflects the values and needs of the community. As part of the planning process, the city is asking members of the public to complete a short survey to answer the following questions:
• What do you like most about living in, or visiting New Ulm?
• What do you not like about living or working in New Ulm? What are some issues we should address or can be improved?
• What do you think can make New Ulm a better place to live in, work in, or visit?
Survey can be done online at: newulmmn.gov. Print forms are available at City Hall in the Engineering and Inspections Office, or at the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce.
Surveys should be submitted by August 31.
City staff officials will be on KNUJ on Aug. 29 at 9:15 am to provide more details on what a comprehensive plan is and how members of the public can get involved.
