Hongkongers are set to see lows of 14 degrees Celsius next week following a wet weekend, according to the Observatory.
“A broad band of clouds is bringing rainy weather to the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea. Meanwhile, a fresh to strong northeast monsoon is also affecting the coast of southern China,” the Observatory said on Friday.
With rain patches from Friday, temperatures are predicted to rise on Monday and Tuesday to highs of 28 degrees Celsius.
However, temperatures will then dip until next Friday, when a high of 18 degrees Celsius and low of 14 are expected.
“Under the influence of an intense northeast monsoon, it will become cool appreciably over southern China in the middle and latter parts of next week,” the Observatory added.
