A series of new restaurants and cafes will open in Quay Quarter Tower – the 49-storey office building near Circular Quay that’s the linchpin of the Quay Quarters precinct, already home to Hinchcliff House and its venues Lana, Grana and Apollonia, as well as omakase restaurants Besuto and Kobo, cafe Skittle Lane, and many others.
On the podium level of the tower will be Club Martinez, a bar and eatery inspired by the beach clubs of St Tropez, launched by the group behind Hinchcliff House, House Made Hospitality. A vast terrace bar with views of Sydney Harbour will be the drawcard, along with southern French-style cuisine by food director Alex Wong and head chef Andrea Sonnante.
Club Martinez will be joined by two new venues from Chinese-cuisine pros Lotus Dining: a dumpling bar and a fine diner, as well as Caffe Q, a cafe and aperitivo bar.
The new venues will join others that have recently opened in the tower: Costi’s Fish and Chips, Sushi Hon, sandwich joint Deli Ziosa, Vietnamese eatery Nam Nam, and cafe Parla, as well as a pharmacy.
The venues will begin to roll out in the coming months, with Club Martinez due to open in autumn 2023.
Plenty of new drinking and dining hubs have opened in the CBD over the past few years, including 25 Martin Place, Brookfield Place, Barrack Place and Darling Square. Another precinct, Sydney Place, will begin opening next year.
