6th Circuit Judge John Bush said future developments in AI could revolutionize how judges like himself tie their rulings to the past by interpreting the Constitution based on the nation’s history and tradition, Nate Raymond reports.
Bush, a Trump appointee, in a speech delivered to the University of Chicago’s Federalist Society chapter argued the rapidly developing technology may be key to ensuring a method of interpreting the Constitution favored by conservative jurists remains viable. Bush said the longevity of originalism may depend less on who sits on the Supreme Court when AI could eventually eliminate the labor-intensive research it requires. Read more about his remarks.
