There are 1296 new community cases of Covid-19 today, the Ministry of Health says.
In a statement, the ministry also said there were 257 people in hospital, including four in ICU.
The seven-day rolling average of community case numbers today is 1778. Last Monday, it was 2425.
The seven-day rolling average of hospitalisations today is 273. Last Monday, it was 351.
The ministry said there were now a total of 1915 deaths confirmed as attributable to Covid-19, either as the underlying cause of death or as a contributing factor.
In the past seven days, there have been an average of six deaths confirmed each day as being attributable to Covid-19, the ministry said.
There were also 105 new cases reported at the border.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern told Morning Report any decisions about the traffic light system settings would be revealed next week.
Last week it was reported the government had asked for feedback on a proposal to scrap almost all mandates to wear masks in healthcare settings, including in disability support settings.
