The bar market is bursting at the seams, and it includes options for everyone. But sleuthing through hundreds of labels takes time … which is why we did it for you! This guide covers all of the dairy-free protein bars at a glance to help you find your holy grail of mighty snacks. Our list includes options for vegan, keto, paleo, meal replacement, and even top allergen free. Almost all of the following are gluten-free, too.
We had to draw the line somewhere on a “protein” bar versus a snack bar. So, a bar must have 10 grams of protein or more to make this list. Even with this limitation, we have OVER 50 brands of dairy-free protein bars to share. They’re listed alphabetically with quick information to help you find your match!
Pricing Guide: At the time of writing, the cheapest dairy-free protein bars were $1.62 per bar when purchased in a multi-pack. We based our pricing table on $ = $2.00 or less, $$ = $2.01 to $2.50, $$$ = $2.51 to $3.00, $$$$ = over $3.00. Prices are subject to change with economic pressures, but the price of each brand relative to other brands doesn’t change much. For example, the cheapest bars will likely remain in the lowest pricing quartile, and the most expensive bars will likely remain in the highest pricing quartile. Which is why we are using the $ to $$$$ pricing rather than the actual current prices. Keep in mind, protein and meal replacement bars do typically cost more than snack bars.
Vegan Options: All dairy-free protein bars listed below are vegan, unless otherwise noted.
Allergen Notes: All items listed below are dairy-free by ingredients. Almost all are gluten-free, too. We’ve noted any top allergens contained in these dairy-free protein bars. But ingredients are subject to change at any time, and all products are at some degree of risk for allergen cross contamination, whether they have a “may contain” statement or not. Always read the label before consuming any food, and make sure you are familiar with this may contain information.
Nutrition Notes: The nutrition information is from a sample flavor. The ratios usually vary by flavor, and companies do reformulate sometimes. Be sure to read the packaging for the most recent information for the flavor you are purchasing.
Disclosure: This post contains some affiliate links to retailers that we buy from, too. We might receive a commission if you make purchases through these links. These commissions do not direct our content, but do help to support the maintenance of our site. We appreciate your support!

Always read the ingredient and nutrition statement prior to consumption. Ingredients, processes, and labeling are subject to change at any time for any company or product. Some of these items might have a “may contain” type statement for milk or other top allergens, which does not mean the product contains that allergen. See our “May Contain” Guide to understand what these statements might mean for you. Contact the company to discuss their manufacturing processes if potential allergen cross-contamination is an issue for you. No food product can be guaranteed “safe” for every individual’s needs. You should never rely on ingredient and allergen statements alone if dealing with a severe food allergy. Only you can decide what foods are safe for your needs.
