Grayson Hotel is pleased to announce the appointment of its leadership team ahead of its early Fall 2022 opening. The new-build hotel is owned, developed and managed by the Fortuna Realty Group. Grayson Hotel will become part of Hyatt’s Unbound Collection as its first New York City property, adding to this growing portfolio of independent lifestyle properties. David McManus re-joins the Fortuna Realty Group as General Manager of Grayson Hotel.
David McManus brings a strong dedication to team-culture and a holistic leadership approach to Grayson Hotel, having played an integral role in all aspects of the hospitality industry including numerous General Manager Positions. McManus’ experience has been cultivated at various hotel groups and properties including Denihan Hospitality Group, Amsterdam Hospitality Group where he was GM of the iconic Empire Hotel, Hersha Hospitality Management where he was most recently the General Manager of the Hyatt Union Square. This is his return to the Fortuna Realty Group, he was the opening GM of Hotel Hugo in 2013. At Grayson Hotel, McManus will work with the various teams to deliver a seamless, top-tier guest experience, as well as overseeing the hotel’s overall goals and growth. McManus prides himself on developing a culture in which associates are valued and empowered, a leadership trait that he has come to be known for within the industry.
Since assuming his position, McManus has built a seasoned executive team of hospitality professionals. This team of like-minded individuals have an inherent dedication to hospitality and delivering an unforgettable hotel experience. Programming, partnerships and amenities have also been a key area of focus for the team as they lay the groundwork for a memorable, distinctly New York City guest experience.
Jeannine Graham will lead programming and brand visibility efforts as Director of Sales & Marketing. Lizzie Fernandez-Fruto will manage and yield inventory as Director of Revenue Management. Jennifer Post joins as Director of Rooms, ensuring guest satisfaction. Soleilh St. Paul as Director of Housekeeping, overseeing the hotel’s presentation standards. Roberto Brito as Director of Engineering and Wade Grazette as Director of Life Safety and Security round out the team leading all efforts in delivering a high-level hotel experience.
