One of the Queen’s favourite aides told colleagues compared working with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to working with teenagers, according to the author of a bombshell new royal book.
Valentine Low, the author of The Courtiers, has told a special episode of Palace Confidential about the ‘harsh’ treatment that Samantha Cohen received while working for the pair before they left the Royal Family.‘When she started, Harry knew her well, and liked her and she liked Harry. Sam is an incredible problem solver, she’s a can-do personality and she just found it really difficult,’ he says.
‘She was asked to do things that a private secretary wouldn’t normally be asked to do and I think she was treated harshly. She was shouted at by Meghan… she was said to have said that dealing with them was like dealing with a couple of teenagers.’
Low also describes the ‘crushing’ phrase that the Duchess of Sussex used to one of her team and he goes into detail into what he believes really happened during the Tiaragate saga.
Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown by Valentine Low is published by Headline and is out now.
