Northamptonshire Police have released descriptions of the two groups involved in a knife fight outside a popular venue in Northampton. Their investigation into the incident continues.
Police confirmed that the "violent affray" did take place outside the Barratt's Snooker Club & Bar on Kingsthorpe Road near Northampton town centre. The incident happened on Sunday, September 4, between 5.45pm and 6pm.
Four men were leaving the club when they got into an altercation with two other males outside the venue. Some of the men then took out and brandished knives.

One male’s jacket was slashed, whilst another male was hit on the head with a bottle. Officers were dispatched to the scene at 6.05pm on Sunday evening, but by the time constables arrived at the scene the two groups had moved on.
All six persons involved have been described by Northants Police as black males. Of the group of two, both wore dark clothing, black balaclavas and carried Nike bags.

Of the group of four, one was wearing a white t-shirt and black baseball cap, another wore a long black puffa coat. The third wore a green and black baseball cap, black and blue jacket coat and a fourth male wore a blue and black North Face puffa coat.
A police spokesperson said: "This incident occurred in a busy area and some witnesses are reported to have filmed it on their mobile phones. We are asking these people to please come forward and report what they saw and provide any footage of the incident that they may have."
