Adin Ross, arguably one of Kick’s most popular streamers, promised his viewers a treat this week. In one of his earlier streams, Adin Ross claimed he would conduct a live interview with North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un. The stream was scheduled for September 21, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. Miami time. Kick even posted promotional material for the interview to attract more viewers. This led many to wonder if Adin Ross actually had an interview with Kim Jong Un. Keep reading to find out more.

To get things out of the way, Adin Ross didn’t conduct an interview with Kim Jong Un. Instead of having the North Korean Supreme Leader on his stream, it turns out that Ross hired an impersonator to do the job. With the help of Eddie Craven, the co-founder of Stake and Kick, Adin Ross had devised a clever way to get people to tune in to his stream.

For those who had tuned in to Ross’ recent livestreams, Craven had mentioned that he would be giving his full support to Ross to make the interview happen. At one point, Craven even proposed flying Ross out to North Korea to secure the interview with Kim Jong Un.
- According to reports, the livestream peaked at 300,000 viewers.
- When the fake Kim Jong Un was revealed on the livestream, it didn’t take long for fans to realize that the Kick streamer had pranked them.
- As a result, many people logged off the stream and stopped watching.

However, Ross had the time of his life laughing as he had pranked his viewers and fellow streamer Andrew Tate.
Who was the fake Kim Jong Un on Adin Ross’ livestream?
The Kim Jong Un who appeared during the livestream was an actor from Cameo, an online service allowing you to hire actors and have them say what you want.

The actor goes by Howard X, and this is not his first time impersonating the North Korean leader. According to some reviews published on his Cameo profile, others have availed his services to be Kim Jong Un. His profile also states that Howard X’s performance as Kim Jong Un was convincing enough to have him deported from Vietnam at one point.
Howard X has also played the role of Kim Jong Un in the music video for LollyBomb.
- It’s also understandable that Ross had to hire an impersonator, as it would be nearly impossible for him to conduct a one-on-one interview with the leader of North Korea.
- The North Korean’s last public interview was with a Russian media outlet during his visit back in 2019. After that, Kim Jong Un hasn’t conducted any other interviews.
Why did the livestream take place?
Before the livestream took place with the fake Kim Jong Un, Adin Ross had announced the topics he wanted to discuss with the politician. According to Ross, he wanted to go over a few things with Kim Jong Un. Here are some of the points he wanted to raise during the interview:
- What are Kim Jong Un’s thoughts on the LGBTQ+ community?
- Will Adin Ross be allowed to visit North Korea?
- Who wins between Trump and Biden?
These were only a few of the topics Ross wanted to go over. He also didn’t forget to include his friend, Andrew Tate, hoping the North Korean leader would share his thoughts about the other streamer.

Of course, all of this started because Eddie Craven pitched the idea to Adin Ross a few weeks back. Aside from these questions, Craven wanted Ross to ask Kim Jong Un if it would be possible for them to get their money back after a group from North Korea hacked it.

Craven and Ross decided to pull a fast one on their viewers and bring a Kim Jong Un impersonator into their livestream to make light of the situation.
