The Subiaco Hotel, Kitsch Bar Asia, Petite Mort, Villa D'Este Restaurant and Pancho's Mexican Villa Restaurant are among the first Perth restaurants to join a new platform offering diners half-priced earlybird meals.
First Table operates in 38 cities across Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and the UK and will launch in Western Australia on September 26.
Users pay $10 to make an early booking at a partner restaurant for half off the total food bill. But there is only one table available at each venue each night.
Perth restaurants can offer half price meals for their first table of the night.
Maurizio de Ciano, owner of No Menu Finest Italian 448 in Highgate, said he had always valued word of mouth over marketing his restaurant and this platform was an opportunity to showcase his meals and get people talking.
"This will direct people into the restaurant where they can taste for themselves," he said.
"It brings people to the table and we can showcase to the people what we really do."
Mr de Ciano said times were extremely tight for the Perth hospitality sector.
Too many new establishments were starting up without the expertise to succeed, and without the population to sustain them.
He would offer a table at 6.30pm for up to four people.
First Table Western Australia territory manager Cameron Steele said the online platform would help foodies discover Perth gems and get a great deal.
“Introducing people to the best establishments and hidden gems in each city is what we live for, and it’s what’s made First Table the success that it’s become,” he said.
“From award-winning, high-end eateries to those little known wonders waiting to be discovered — we see first-time experiences turning into loyal patronage time and time again.”
Founder Mat Weir said the service interested restaurateurs keen to kick start their nighttime services by filling those early evening empty seats.
