We’ve been waiting with bated breath since seeing a sign go up a few months ago… And our waiting is finally being rewarded, with the grand opening of LeeLee Lucky’s today.
The Vietnamese diner, located next door to the Deli on Central, will be serving up a selection of fresh favourites – from the always popular bánh mì, filled with your choice of chicken, roast barbecue pork or lemongrass tofu, to crispy spring rolls, nourishing beef phở and summer-ready salads and rice paper rolls.
The diner’s recipes have been passed down from owner LeeLee’s mother, who first came to Perth with LeeLee’s father 46 years ago after spending two years in a refugee camp in Malaysia. It was in this camp where she set up a market stall cooking traditional Vietnamese dishes, which she would later cook for her growing family.
“LeeLee Lucky’s Asian Deli and Dining pays homage to my parent’s journey, where I am able to continue the love of providing heart-warming home cooked Vietnamese dishes to you. To me home is food, and food is love.”
To accompany your feast, dive into the menu of refreshing drinks. Alongside turbocharged Vietnamese iced or hot coffee, grab a fresh juice or a technicolour Vietnamese shake: they’ll have avocado, jackfruit, strawberry, soursop, coconut and lychee options available. We don’t know about you, but we’re well and truly ready for summer.
As well as dine in and takeaway food options, there’ll also be a selection of pantry goods and LeeLee’s favourite treats – like the delightful Marou Chocolates. The single origin chocolate bars are crafted using cacao beans from six provinces in the south of Vietnam – their packaging is just as beautiful as the chocolate within, making them perfect for gifting (even to yourself!).
LeeLee Lucky’s is located at 5/102 Clifton Crescent, Mount Lawley, and is open Monday to Saturday, 8am to 3pm.
