It could be a double whammy for West Ham this summer with Everton allegedly joining the race to sign two of our key transfer targets.
Everton boss Frank Lampard is keen to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City (The Athletic) and Emmanuel Dennis from Watford (The Daily Mail) in the summer transfer window.
Hammers manager David Moyes wants to bring the Ukraine and Nigeria internationals to the London Stadium as well this summer (Foot Mercato and The Daily Mail) and they are widely regarded to be two of the Scot’s main transfer targets this summer.
We have extensively covered how we believed that Dennis would be a strong signing for West Ham. And the same for Zinchenko.
Everton entering the race to sign both players will undoubtedly complicate our chances of signing either of them, however…
The Athletic and The Daily Mail reckon that the Toffees are now in the race to sign Manchester City ace Oleksandr Zinchenko and Watford hitman Emmanuel Dennis.
Now, West Ham are still better placed to sign the Man City and Watford stars in my opinion, but Everton will just make our task of doing so that little bit harder.
We would love to see Zinchenko and Dennis at the London Stadium next season.
The Man City ace has been described as ‘unplayable’ by TEAMtalk. Zinchenko is excellent in possession and poses a real threat going forward but he is a very solid defender at the same time.
The technical ability of the 25-year-old is second to none and his winning mentality would really add something extra to the West Ham squad.
He is highly energetic and has proven for a sustained period of time that he is perfectly suited to the intense nature of Premier League football.
90min claim that Zinchenko will cost at least £30 million this summer.
Dennis, meanwhile, is exactly the kind of striker David Moyes usually likes.
The 24-year-old bagged 10 goals and six assists in 33 Premier League games for Watford last season (Transfermarkt).
He is a constant menace for opposing defenders and possesses a fantastic work-rate.
West Ham fans will know all about Dennis. He scored against us with a brilliant strike at Vicarage Road earlier this season.
The Daily Mail reckon that he could be available for just £20 million this summer.
An outlay of £50 million combined for Dennis and Zinchenko would be very good value in my opinion.
If Everton do come in for the two West Ham transfer targets this summer though, the Hammers owners will have to pull out all the stops.
