THE HAGUE — Head of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Presidency team to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) Donor Support Group Dr. Aqeel Bin Jamaan Al-Ghamdi met with representatives of Luxembourg, member of the Troika, Deputy Director of Humanitarian Affairs, Max Lamesch, and Human Relations Official Iman Matheny.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Ghamdi, assistant supervisor general of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) for Planning and Development, reviewed the Kingdom’s humanitarian, relief and development efforts at the international level.
He also evaluated Kingdom’s plan to chair the group of donors during the year 2022-2023, while welcoming Luxembourg as a new member of the Troika, and affirming the Kingdom’s support for Luxembourg during its tenure as a member of the Troika and in its preparation to chair the donor group for the year 2023-2024.
The Luxembourg delegation expressed its full support for the Kingdom's presidency of the group of donors and its aspiration to benefit from the Saudi team’s experiences when Luxembourg chairs the group next year. — SPA
