Early voting in Palm Beach County ended on Sunday. If you still haven’t voted, you’ll have to go to the polls in person this Tuesday to cast your vote in the primary.
Palm Beach County supervisor of elections Wendy Sartory Link says she’s pleased with how early voting went this year, though she was hoping for a larger turnout.
She says the vast majority of early voters cast their ballots by mail, but it’s been that way since 2020.
Sartory Link also says the new appointment system has been successful, and the elections office plans to use it once again in the general election this November. While they still plan on improving the new system wherever possible, they’re confident it’ll help voters moving forward.
As for this Tuesday, Sartory Link reminds everyone that they have to vote at their specific polling location and to bring ID with their photo and signature.
“Remember to check their precinct because with the redistricting, precincts change and we don’t want anybody to go to the wrong place so please go on, and they can check the new voter ID card, they can check their office if they have a question or they can go online and it’ll tell them where to go,” said Sartory Link.
If you do not have an ID with your photo and signature, you can still vote with a provisional ballot. If you are registered to vote and you vote at the correct voting precinct, the county canvassing board will approve your vote later in the week.
