The Egyptian national team have earned a convincing victory over Algeria to reach the 2022 U-20 Arab Cup final.
The 2022 U-20 Arab Cup is currently taking place in Abha, Saudi Arabia and consists of 18 teams, with the final played on August 6th.
Egypt were drawn into Group D of the tournament alongside Oman and Somalia, and the pharaohs had an impressive start winning their opening group games.
As a result, Egypt qualified for the quarter-final and met Morocco in a tough encounter that ended in a 2-1 victory.
On Wednesday, Egypt’s quest to reach the final continued after earning a comprehensive 3-1 win over Algeria in the semi-finals.

salah Basha opened the scoring for Egypt in the ninth minute before Abdelrahman Rashdan’s header doubled their lead 30 minutes later.
Algeria pulled managed to pull one back late in the game to set up a nervy end to the game for Egypt in the final 20 minutes.
However, Egypt quickly restored their two-goal lead as second-half substitute Mohamed ibrahim headed home on the rebound amid a defensive scramble in the 74th minute.
They are now set to face Saudi Arabia, who beat palestine 5-0 in the semi-final, on August 6th at the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium.
