Gionee Android
Gionee has launched a new entry-level smartphone in India – the Gionee P5W. It is built around a 5” IPS display of 720p resolution, and its body is made of glossy plastic.
The chipset in charge of the P5W is the MT6735 with a quad-core 1.3GHz Cortex-A53 processor, Mali-T720 GPU, and 1GB of RAM. The rest of the key specs include 16GB expandable storage, 4G LTE connectivity, a 5MP main snapper, and a 2MP selfie shooter. Finally, there is a removable 2,000 mAh battery that promises to power the thing for a day.
The Gionee P5W runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Amigo 3.1 launcher.
The smartphone is now available for purchase in India for INR 6,499 or about $95. The competition in the entry-level class surely becomes more interesting by the day. The Redmi 3 is about to launch in India soon, while the Redmi 2 Prime costs very close to the Gionee P5W.
