Kevin Flynn was named the Americas vice chair of tax at Ernst & Young LLP, according to the firm Tuesday.
Flynn, based in San Francisco, succeeds Marna Ricker, who will now serve as the firm’s global vice chair of tax, EY said. He will lead a group of more than 18,000 people across North, Central, and South America; Israel; and the Caribbean, according to the firm.
He has served for the past two years as the Americas deputy vice chair of tax and tax managing partner for the US-West region, according to EY.
Flynn held other significant leadership roles across the service lines during his more than 35 years with EY, the firm said. He was the firm’s financial services west market segment leader, focusing on market segment growth strategy across audit, consulting, strategy and transactions, and tax. He also was the senior adviser tax partner and global tax account leader for several of the firm’s largest clients.
