But they ARE potentially “ready to respond.”
Prince Harry’s ~hotly anticipated~ memoir, Spare, is dropping in just a few weeks and there’s been a lot of speculation about what the book will reveal and just how much the royals should spiral. The contents of Harry’s memoir have been strictly kept under wraps, but according to royal expert Katie Nicholl, the royals aren’t sweating it.
"A lot has been left on a cliffhanger and there is a £35m book deal here so don’t underestimate the couple or their capacity to surprise and throw in a few more bombs just when you thought there were no more," Nicholl tells OK! Magazine (via The Sun). "I don’t think the royal family are terrified by anything, least of all of what is going to come next in Harry’s autobiography. But concerned, apprehensive? Yes. Ready to respond? Quite possibly. Wearied by all of this? Absolutely."
Innnnteresting. Though judging from the complete non-reaction to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix docuseries, it’ll definitely be a surprise if the royals release an official response to Harry’s book.
As a reminder, Spare comes out of January 10, and this is what Prince Harry’s had to say about it:
