MINSK, 11 August (BelTA) – Enterprises affiliated with the Belarusian state light industry concern Bellegprom increased their export by 18% in H1 2023, BelTA learned from the Bellegprom press secretary.
The board of the concern gathered at the Kamvol company to discuss the promotion of Belarusian light industry goods in foreign and domestic markets, the innovative development of enterprises and other matters. In January-June 2023, the export of the concern was estimated at $245 million, up by 18%. Bellegprom shipped its products to 70 regions of the Russian Federation, as well as to Asian countries. Despite the sanctions, the export to the EU countries like the Czech Republic, Hungary, Greece, the Netherlands and others also grew.
In addition to that, the participants of the meeting discussed the youth policy of the concern. Enterprises of Bellegprom are actively working to hire young people and retain personnel.
“The tasks for the second half of the year are just as ambitious,” said Tatiana Lugina, head of the Bellegprom concern.
Taking part in the meeting was Belarusian Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Minister Aleksei Bogdanov. He spoke about the importance of promoting and increasing the competitiveness of Belarusian light industry goods in foreign and domestic markets.
In addition, Tatiana Lugina presented a diploma of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus to Director of Gronitex Svetlana Smirnova and a diploma of the Minsk City Council to Head of Kamvol’s chemical laboratory Svetlana Yakovenko.
