Some social media users have shared a Singaporean infographic detailing COVID-19 special measures and suggesting it is set to be introduced on Aug. 10, 2022. The image, however, is old. It was published by Singaporean authorities in 2021. Some of the restrictions listed no longer apply as Singapore has gradually eased its safety measures.
The infographic was shared on July 19 by one Facebook user with a caption: “10-08-22” (here ).
Another iteration shared on July 18 with a caption “Take note guys” can be found (here ).
The infographic itself is titled: “Differentiated Measures for Higher-Risk Settings” and shows a list of separate measures to be introduced “from August 10” for two groups: the fully vaccinated and the unvaccinated.
However a search for the image and topic revealed that the infographic was published on August 10, 2021, by Gov.sg, the official Facebook page of the Singapore government (here ).
“From 10 Aug 2021, vaccination-differentiated measures will be introduced for higher-risk settings,” the description reads.
“Fully vaccinated individuals will be able to participate in more activities, including dining-in at F&B outlets , as well as indoor mask-off sports activities. ️ For more: go.gov.sg/mtf0608-fb .
“*Correction: Children 12 and under may be included within the group of 5 persons at F&B outlets if they are from the same household”, the description also stated.
The infographic was also shared by the Singapore government’s official Twitter account on August 10, 2021 (here ).
Singapore removed most remaining COVID-19 restrictions from April 26 and eased its entry requirements for travellers in response to a decline in new daily infections. The measures included removing limits on group sizes and allowing the full return of employees to workplaces, while lowering the Southeast Asian financial hub’s alert level for the first time since the pandemic started.
Some rules remained, however, such as the mandatory wearing of face masks in indoor public settings and on public transport. Many of the restrictions remained in place for non-vaccinated individuals (here ).
According to the list of measures from April 26, 2022, published here , Vaccination-Differentiated Safe Management Measures (SMMs) “will be removed from all settings, except for events with >500 participants at any one time, nightlife establishments where dancing among patrons is one of the intended activities, F&B establishments, bars and karaoke establishments.”

Moreover, the Singaporean government responded on July 19 to the old infographic being reshared, saying that the claim is “false and misleading” “here ).
False. An old infographic claiming that new vaccinated differentiated measures will come into effect on Aug. 10, 2022 is an old image shared by the Singapore Government official social media pages in August 2021.
