A New Jersey woman who mysteriously vanished four years ago is now believed to be one of several victims who died at the hands of a traveling Alaskan serial killer.
Israel Keyes, a former contractor who admitted to kidnapping and murdering at least 11 people across the country between 2001 and 2012, may have been the last to see Debra Feldman alive, the FBI said Wednesday.
Keyes, speaking from an Anchorage jail in 2012, told authorities that on April 9, 2009, one day after Feldman vanished from her Hackensack home, he abducted a female along the East Coast.
Israel Keyes told authorities after his arrest in 2012 that he had killed at least 11 people. He said a woman on the East Coast was one of his victims on April 9, 2009. (Handout)
Keyes said his victim was taken over multiple state lines into New York where she was murdered. Her body was buried in upstate New York near the Tupper Lake area.
“To date, Ms. Feldman’s body has not been recovered,” said Newark FBI. “Investigators believe the victim of the April 9, 2009 homicide may be Debra Feldman.”

Unfortunately for Feldman’s family, and many other victims’, Keyes committed suicide while behind bars in December, taking his dark secrets to the grave.
It wasn’t until March, 2012 that Keyes’ horrific murder spree finally came to an end when the 34-year-old was arrested for the murder of Alaskan barista, Samantha Koeng.

After his arrest the sicko began spilling his dark secrets and naming some of his victims.
When authorities showed him a picture of Feldman and asked if she was one, he refused any comment – including denying a link to her.

“It is not unlikely that in some cases, Keyes abducted a victim from one state, transported the victim to another state where he or she was murdered, and potentially drove the victim to a third state to dispose of the body,” said the FBI.
Among his confessed victims yet to be found and identified, was a Washington state couple between July 2001 and 2005.
Keyes, before found dead in his cell on Dec. 2, said he was also responsible for the murders of Bill and Lorraine Currier of Essex, Vt. (pictured) Their bodies have never been found. (Anonymous/ASSOCIATED PRESS)
Another person was slain in the same area, he said. The surrounding area is believed to hold the remains of others.
Investigators don’t believe Keyes knew any of his victims but did plot their killing out in advance by burying tools and other items in the area he planned to hunt.
His victims were both male and female and ranged in age between late teens and the elderly.
“Investigators are requesting that anyone who knew Ms. Feldman and may have information about her activities around the time of her disappearance contact the Hackensack Police Department or call 1-800- CALL-FBI and follow the prompts for the Israel Keyes case,” said the FBI.
