MINSK, 8 June (BelTA) – All social obligations of the 2022 budget have been fulfilled, Belarusian Finance Minister Yuri Seliverstov said at a session of the House of Representatives Standing Committee on Budget and Finances on 8 June, BelTA has learned.
“Last year the implementation of the budget took into account the challenges facing our country’s economy, the financial system in general. The task was to preserve the social orientation of the budget on the one hand and to support the real sector on the other. Under sanctions pressure, it was impossible to foresee all the risks that negatively affected the budget. Therefore, certain adjustments were made to the budget during its implementation,” Yuri Seliverstov said.
According to the minister, the country managed to make up for the losses associated with the sanctions pressure, and meet all social obligations. “The government has fulfilled all obligations on the national debt,” he said.
