Construction workers have been hard at work making a new Premier Inn hotel rise up from the ground over the last few months.
Work began on the £17 million structure in March 2022 and this new photo shows how construction is progressing just over a year later.
The whole of the building remains covered in the scaffold, and some sides of it are also completely covered, but in some sections you can see the individual rooms and their windows beginning to take shape.
The company had initially expected construction to take 18-20 months, meaning an estimated completion date of between September and November 2023, but it is not known if they are still on track for that deadline.
Approximately 45 new full-time equivalent jobs are anticipated to be created at the 195-bedroom hotel on opening.
It will also not have a natural gas supply, and will instead be fully heated and powered by grid energy generated from renewable sources.
Whitbread, which owns the Premier Inn, has highlighted the importance of removing natural gas from its estate in achieving its target of net zero emissions by 2040.
Whitbread has been contacted for an official update on the progress and when the new hotel might finally open.
