News leaked on July 14 that Huawei has scheduled a press conference for July 27, during which it will release many new products, including its first smart screen with HarmonyOS 3.0.
The blogger that published the tip said that upcoming products include the FreeBuds Pro 2 headphones, smart screen S Pro 86, new MateBook X Pro, MatePad Pro 11 and Enjoy 50 Pro smartphone.
A new product with serial number “HD86KEPA” reportedly refers to a new smart screen code-named Kepler, which is expected to be the Huawei Smart Screen S Pro 86, OEM by BOE, with a power consumption of 450W.
Also on July 14, Ma Chuanyong, the president of Huawei’s Terminal Cloud Services Payment Business Group, said HarmonyOS 3.0 will be released at the end of July. Huawei Pay, which was launched in September 2021, has now reached 100 million monthly active users and has seen rapid growth. Relying on Huawei Wallet as the management portal, Huawei Pay provides balance payments, bank card payments, red envelope, top-ups, cash withdrawals and other services for individual users, and provides fund settlements, automatic account sharing, marketing empowerment and other services for corporate users. As of April this year, Huawei Pay has supported binding more than 160 banks.

Regarding the purpose of Huawei’s entry into the mobile payment market, Ma said that with the launch of HarmonyOS, Huawei Pay is the infrastructure for building the HarmonyOS ecology. Huawei Pay is geared towards cell phones, smart screens, tablets, computers and cars, with multi-terminal and full-scene coverage. In the future, Huawei Pay will explore more scenarios based on HarmonyOS.
