Filling tummies, fuelling minds
Step into Roseworth Primary School’s bustling cafeteria and you’ll find more than just food – you’ll discover a hub of nourishment and care that’s been brightening young lives for over two decades.
Recently, we had the privilege of joining their breakfast program with our Ambassador Alice Murray. What we experienced was more than just a breakfast club; it was a heartwarming exchange of compassion and kindness filling hungry tummies.
Over 208,000 Western Australian households have faced food insecurity in the last 12 months. While we can’t stop the rising costs of living, we can empower people to plan and cook easy, nutritious meals on a budget, and thanks to our new nom! programs, we’re doing just that.
So much more than “cooking classes”, nom! nutrition education and cooking programs improve food literacy, strengthen social connections and build confidence amongst those who need it the most, creating meaningful, lasting behavioural change.
Cook up a difference and enjoy tasty learning for life with a nom! program.

While donations may have declined, the need for food relief hasn’t. In fact, demand for our services is up 31% compared to this time last year. But we’re not just here to talk about the issue, we’re here to tackle it head on and here’s how we’re doing it.
To address this challenge, we first have to understand why the shortage is happening. There are two forces at play; a focus on more effective supply chain management and a new balance between supply and demand.
