The Dragon Ball x Fortnite crossover event is live and new vending machines have appeared only in specific locations around the map.
After plenty of rumors and teases, Epic Games has finally unveiled its latest crossover event for Fortnite, this time bringing in one of the most popular IPs in Dragon Ball. However, this latest event is more than a few skins being made available inside the in-game store. With this latest update, Dragon Ball has taken over the Fortnite island with a whole new set quests that link to a rising power meter which unlocks unique rewards.
The update has also brought with it the ability to unlock the seven iconic Dragon Balls, and Shenron Glider by extension, by completing various quests and unique experiences in a new area called Adventure Island. Traditional Battle Royale matches have also evolved to include Dragon Ball style experiences, from the Kame House point of interest, Capsule Corp dropping items during matches, to Versus Boards that let players 1v1 with Kamehameha beams.
For those that want a quick hit of Dragon Ball power, special vending machines have been placed in specific regions of the island. While offering various power ups, interacting with them also finishes quests to help increase the player's power level in Fortnite. Here is where all three vending machines can be found.
For better or worse, there are only three vending machines that can be found throughout the Battle Royale map. This means that many players will be attempting to find them in order to finish off this first warmup quest for Dragon Ball. Interested players will need to purchase at least 1 item from one of the Dragon Ball vending machines located at the following locations:
It should be stated that these three locations will likely be hot spots of activity for at least the first few days of the event, so players should be prepared for a firefight upon dropping or reaching these Points of Interest. The match can end very quickly for those who are not prepared as some players may even resort to camping these spots hoping to knock out a few players quickly.
Finding a Dragon Ball Vending machine is just the first step as players will need to purchase an item to finish the quest and earn 2 million power. Fortnite players will need to ensure they have gold bars available, as items can only be purchased with them.
Both the mythic rarity Kamehameha and Nimbus Cloud can be purchased for 250 gold bars each, which may be a bit pricey for some. Thankfully, there are a variety of ways for earning Gold Bars in Fortnite, so players may have to grind a bit first. As expected, the Kamehameha can be used to launch an energy beam up to three times while the Nimbus Cloud is able to help the player take flight during a match.
Fortnite is currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
