LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A free vaccination, microchip, and animal wellness event is coming to the Loudoun County animal shelter on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In addition to vaccinations, pets can receive nail trims and flea and tick prevention for no charge.
The event is being hosted by Loudoun County Animal Services at their shelter, which is located at 42225 Adoption Drive in Leesburg. The event is a partnership with Banfield Pet Hospital and the Friends of Loudoun County Animal Services.
Talia Czapski is the community relations manager for Loudoun County Animal Services. “We know how much Loudoun families love their pets,” Czapski said in a news release. “So we are so grateful to be able to provide this free clinic through Banfield and the Friends of Loudoun County Animal Services, to keep everyone happy and healthy.”
The event is a drive-up clinic, so no appointments are necessary. Organizers are asking pet owners to stay in their car with their pets. Though the event is free, pet owners should be prepared to show an ID or piece of mail with their Loudoun County address.
The event is open to all cats and dogs that are older than 12 weeks old. Cats should be brought in a carrier, while dogs should be on a leash that is 6 feet long or shorter, according to Loudoun County Animal Services.
More information about the event is available on the animal shelter’s website.
