El Paso Animal Services is holding another free Drive-Thru Pet Wellness Clinic this weekend.
EPAS is teaming up with Petco to vaccinate and microchip hundreds of cats and dogs on Sunday, May 22.
Vaccinations given during the Pet Wellness Clinic will protect your dogs and cats from deadly diseases such as parvo and distemper in dogs, and panleukopenia in cats. All of them can be fatal if the pet is unvaccinated.
Microchips can help get your pet back home if it ever goes missing or runs off.
The free event is set for Sunday, May 22, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the El Paso International Airport Butterfield Trail Air Cargo Center at 301 George Perry Blvd.
It’s on a first-come, first-served basis for the first 500 pets.
Dogs will receive a parvo/distemper vaccination, while cats will receive a feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia vaccination. They have to be at least six weeks old to receive vaccines.
No other pet vaccinations will be available. Both will also be given a microchip.
Because it will be conducted drive-thru style, pets and humans must remain in the vehicle; all dogs must be on a leash and cats in a secure carrier while going through the drive-thru clinic.
