TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Acting director general of Indonesian Immigration, Widodo Ekatjahjana, ordered three airports to provide ease and special services for around 2,051 international journalists that will come to Bali to report on the G20 Summit. The three airport immigrations are Soekarno-Hatta, Ngurah Rai, and Surabaya.
“We instructed the Immigration Office heads at the international airports of Soekarno-Hatta, Ngurah Rai, and Juanda to facilitate foreign journalists that will report the G20 Summit events in Bali,” said Widodo Friday, Nov. 11.
He mentioned that the journalists may come to Indonesia with the facilities of a Tourist Visa Free or Visa on Arrival if want to stay in Indonesia for a little longer.
The immigration office at the three aforementioned airports was instructed to give fast and easy services for Tourists Visa Free facility and Visa on Arrival registrants, or the checking process with the fast track facility for journalists and G20 delegations who need the services. The airports were also required to open a hotline center for G20 journalists who need immigration services.
The peak of the G20 Summit in Bali is scheduled to take place on Tuesday-Wednesday, November 15-16, 2022.
