The Prime Minister is waiting on advice from officials about whether restrictions on imports and exports to Russia could be further tightened.
The Government has condemned Russia’s self-proclaimed annexation of four regions of Ukraine and plans to impose more sanctions as a consequence.
Jacinda Ardern told Morning Report there are already sanctions on Russian individuals and trade.

Ardern says officials are working to establish whether the sanctions are as comprehensive as possible.
