A 24-year-old woman that made her mark by gaining millions of likes for her work on TikTok has opened her first shop in Suffolk.
Toris Embroidery has officially opened in Hadleigh, offering embroidered hoodies, bags and t-shirts.
Victoria Butler started the company as a way of making some money while at university.
The 24-year-old said: “I’ve always been creative but wasn’t sure what I would do, and I saw my friend doing hand embroidery and thought it looked like fun.
“I started doing that and started posting on social media and making money.
“Then the pandemic hit and as hand embroidery is quite time-consuming, I bought an embroidery machine which was a really big step because they’re so expensive.
“I used it and things went crazy from there, I went viral on TikTok and had hundreds and hundreds of orders flooding in.”
Her TikTok account now has over 59,000 followers, and across all her videos, she has almost two million likes, sending her work all over the world.
She has now opened her first shop on High Street in Hadleigh and has said that she wanted to allow people to come in and see something being made for them.
She said: “I’ve had lots of people coming in since opening which is really nice.
“If the embroidery takes around ten or twenty minutes, then they can watch their embroidery happen in front of them, which is something I wanted to offer.”
Her business is predominantly online, meaning that any extra money she gets through the shop is a bonus.
She continued: “One of my dreams for the future is having a much larger version of what I have now with a coffee shop on site as well for people to sit and relax in while they wait.
“Maybe an arts and craft club as well, a safe space for people to enjoy being creative.”
