The Duchess of Sussex has been absent from the spotlight all year but that hasn't stopped her detractors from taking aim.
Author Tom Bower is criticising Meghan for her alleged role in Prince Harry's memoir Spare, claiming she "dictated this agenda" and "groomed" him.
But his comments are in contrast to recent claims by unnamed sources close to the couple who say the duchess had reservations about her husband writing a tell-all book.

Bower, who last year wrote the highly critical Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsors, claims Meghan used Harry to further her own interests.
"She wanted to be Angelina Jolie; a celebrity and a famous influencer," Bower said, as reported in The Sun.
"But she was irrelevant. Being with Harry gave her that opportunity and she 'played him' from the start.

"Harry was groomed by Meghan. Her wedding guests were all Hollywood, not family, which shows her agenda. She always wanted to go back to Hollywood."
He previously claimed the duchess was the driving force behind Harry's book.
"His book is really Meghan's. Meghan is the person who has dictated this agenda."
However, this week, others have claimed the opposite.
Before Harry decided to pursue the idea of a book more than two years ago, Meghan reportedly expressed doubts.

"Is this the way she would have approached things? Possibly not," a source told The Telegraph UK.
"But she will always back him and would never have got involved in promoting such a personal project.
"This was about his own life, his own journey and his own perspective."
Prince Harry has been highly visible during his book promotion, with television interviews in the UK and US.
But the last time Harry and Meghan appeared in public together at an official event was on December 6 at the Ripple of Hope awards gala in New York.
Questions remain about their attendance at the coronation of King Charles in May but it's expected the couple will be invited to the historic event.
