NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
A new act on America’s Got Talent has drawn comparisons to Harry Styles by judge Simon Cowell.
In the latest episode, Benicio Bryant, 14, impressed judges Simon, Gabrielle Union, Howie Mandel and Julianne Hough with a stunning cover of Brandi Carlisle’s The Joke.
The whole audition, however, reminded Simon of one particular One Direction alumni member. Clue? It’s the one your mother likes the most.
Speaking on the show, Simon said: ‘To anyone who hasn’t been on that stage, when you walk on it’s terrifying. I could see how scared and nervous you were, yet you pulled it together.
‘There’s something about you. And for some reason you remind me of the first time I auditioned Harry Styles, he had this presence about him. I think you’re a real find.’
Benicio secured four yeses to make it through to the next stage of the competition, but will he go onto secure worldwide fame in a boyband before emulating Mick Jagger? No pressure.

Styles was last seen sporting some eye-catching attire at the Met Gala 2019, as speculation whirls around when his second solo album will be released.
This year’s series of America’s Got Talent has already dished out two golden buzzers, with Howie giving his to 21-year-old singer-songwriter Joseph Allen.
He follows the first golden buzzer act and fellow singer Kodi Lee, who is blind and autistic.
America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays on NBC in the US and Thursday on Netflix UK.
