Heligo Books, the business and smart thinking imprint of Bonnier Books UK, has acquired Invest Now from finance journalist Kalpana Fitzpatrick.
Editor Madiya Altaf acquired world all language rights to the “essential guide to investing” directly from the author. Invest Now will publish in paperback, audiobook and e-book on 22nd December 2022.
The publisher’s synopsis reads: “The rising cost of living and inflation means what we earn today will be worth less tomorrow. So, what can we do about it? How can we future-proof our finances? The answer is simple: invest. Fitzpatrick’s essential new guide teaches you everything you need to know about investing and how to make your finances work for you.
“Kalpana Fitzpatrick is an award-winning financial journalist and money expert who will help readers take control of their finances in this jargon- free, myth-busting, and accessible guide to investing. She explains what investing is and why we need to care about it, why cash is making us ’poor’, how to get started, and shows how to ethically invest to save the planet, and so much more.”
Fitzpatrick, who has written for the likes of the Financial Times, Independent, Cosmopolitan and Good Housekeeping, said: “Cash is important, but simply stashing it into a savings account is not going to build future wealth. Investing is an essential part of managing money — and it is for everyone. This book will help smash the barriers that stop people from achieving major life goals by getting them started with investing with ease. I am so excited to be working with Madiya and the team at Bonnier Books on Invest Now, which will form an essential part of everyone’s personal finances.”
Altaf added: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be working with the amazing Kalpana on this essential guide to investing. From my first call with Kalpana, I knew she was the perfect person to write this book. Investing is an area filled with jargon and usually deemed out of reach for people, but through Kalpana’s clear and concise writing, Invest Now offers much-needed explanations and access to all.”
