You might be wondering, how are we already moving into May? 2023 is flying by but we're heading into a really exciting period here in Hertfordshire and the UK.
May is bringing us not one, not two, but three bank holidays! The UK always has two usually but thanks to King Charles' Coronation, we've been given an extra one to celebrate the event.
The first Monday bank holiday is May 1, followed by the next one on May 8 and the final one on May 29. Bank holidays also mean that some services are disrupted.

Supermarkets, recycling centres, bin collections and more all often change their operations. As well as this pharmacies will also sometimes will alter opening times on a bank holiday.
Fortunately to help, the NHS has created a very handy tool where you can check if your local pharmacy will be open or if its opening times have altered. It should be noted that NHS 111 will be accessible for more serious health enquiries. In emergency situations 999 should always be called.
To use the NHS tool not only to see where your local pharmacy is and if it's open during the bank holiday, just enter your postcode on this NHS website. The site will then tell you your nearest stores and whether opening times on May 1 will be altered.
