You can increase the playback speed of TikTok videos to go through them faster.
TikTok is the best platform to consume short-form videos. But what happens when you stumble onto something interesting but visibly longer than the ten-second clips you're used to watching? Well, you can speed up that video.
Some may consider TikTok bad for you, but that doesn't stop the social media platform from finding its place on many people's screens.
It's consistently implementing features for its creators, like the Series Feature, and manages to pull users in with viral sounds and effects and keep them coming back. It's so easy to scroll and scroll that you may even reach a point where you need to limit your screen time on TikTok. After all, there are so many videos to see.
But sometimes, a video is simply too slow for your liking. You still want to watch it without missing anything but can't bear its current pace.
Sure, you can use the little indicator at the bottom and drag it ahead. But that leaves too much to chance—what if you skip a vital part?
TikTok lets you change the playback speed of videos. First, click the share button on the right of the screen. Then, once you see the three rows of options, go to the third row and drag it so the buttons move from left to right.
You'll eventually see an icon called Playback speed. Tap it and pick the speed you wish to set on the video. You can select 1.5x or 2x faster or even slower at 0.5x.
Now, as soon as you can Auto Scroll, you could waste even more time on the platform. And, since TikTok is testing an Auto Scroll feature, that may happen sooner than you think.
TikTok is known for short and snappy content, so this feature is exactly what the doctor ordered. You still see everything included in videos, but it's at a pace more comfortable for you.
